Photo dingbat  John H. Calhoon, MD
Dr. Calhoon obtained his MD degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 1981. He is Board Certified in both Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He joined the group in 1989 and currently is Professor and Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Calhoon is also Program Director for the Thoracic Surgery Residency Training Program. His current interests include complex congenital heart surgery; heart and lung transplantation; complex acquired cardiac surgery; thoracic trauma; the Ross procedure; and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.

El Doctor Calhoon obtuvo su grado medico en Colegio Medico Baylor de Houston, Tejas en 1981. Ha sido certificado por el consejo tanto en Cirugía, como en Cirugía Torácica. Ingresó al grupo en 1989 y actualmente es Catedrático y Jefe de la División de Cirugía Torácica. El Doctor Calhoon es también director del Programa de Residencia para entrenamiento en Cirugía Torácica. Photo dingbat  S. Adil Husain, MD
Dr. Husain obtained his Medical Degree from the University of North Dakota. He completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He then completed fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of North Carolina. He subsequently was a fellow at Riley Children's Hospital - Indiana University School of Medicine in Congenital Cardiac Surgery. Before joining the Congenital Heart Institute of Texas in 2008, Dr. Husain was on faculty at the University of Florida as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics. He was a member of the Congenital Heart Center and focused on the surgical treatment of children with congenital cardiovascular disease. He is board certified in both General as well as Cardiothoracic Surgery. His interests include neonatal cardiac surgery, pediatric heart transplantation as well as overseas humanitarian work. He is an Asst. Professor of Surgery at UTHSCSA.

Photo dingbat  V. Seenu Reddy, MD, MBA
Dr. Reddy obtained his Medical Degree with Honors from The University of Alabama, in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed a residency in General Surgery and a Research Fellowship in Cardiac Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. His Cardiothoracic training was at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia. Before joining us in January 2006, he was a special fellow in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia gaining exposure to Endovascular Surgical techniques, especially in the treatment of thoracic aortic disease. Dr. Reddy has also obtained an MBA with Honors from Vanderbilt University Owen School of Management in Nashville, Tennessee in 2000. He is the Director of Emerging Technology, Director of Thoracic Aortic Surgery and is also an Assistant Professor at UTHSCSA. He is the Associate Director of the Thoracic Residency Program. He is Board Certified in Surgery and is Board Eligible for Thoracic Surgery.
